The club collects, uses and may disclose personal information of members to facilitate the mission of the Club in accordance with the requirements of the BC Society Act and subject to the restrictions set out in the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). The website and all its contents are hosted on a server located in Canada.
Currently the Club Administrator manages a member database which is shared with the Membership Chair. (Note: this database is NOT available on our website). She is responsible for providing information (notices, meeting information, membership renewals, etc.) to members, ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation. The Management Committee will deal with any complaints from members regarding personal information retained by the Club should they arise.
Members are provided with a Membership Roster listing current members and their phone numbers (when permission is granted by the member). The roster is for the private us of members ONLY and not for commercial purposes.
