Despite the last minute loss of the SAC bus, 15 members attended the North Shore Rescue tour and lunch. The tour was most interesting, in part because our host Brian, a North Vancouver fireman, was an “on the mountain” rescue member and very knowledgeable regarding the many and various pieces of equipment used in rescue operations. Following a slide presentation, Brian was kind enough to demonstrate how they used several rescue tools.
Following the tour, the group met for lunch at the Tap and Barrel restaurant in The Shipyards.
