Meetings
Meeting Times and Program
The
Club meets monthly year round on the second Monday of each month,
except in December, at
Capilano Golf and
Country Club,

Southborough Drive, West Vancouver, BC. The format of Club
meetings consists of:

09:00 Club open for member fellowship, with morning
coffee/tea and breakfast snacks
provided
-
09:45
Formal
meeting will begin, to include the following elements:
-
General club business, recognition of guests and introduction of
new members
-
Guest speaker introduction, speaker presentation and questions
from members
-
11:30 Meeting expected to end
In place of a scheduled formal Club meeting in December, members and
their spouses and other guests gather in mid-December to enjoy
fellowship at our annual Christmas Luncheon.
Speakers
In regard to speakers, variety and balance in speaker subject matter
is of utmost importance. As stated by our founding President, John
Leonard, in the February 2004 edition of Shorelines:
“The objectives of our speakers and their presentations
should be to tell us
where we are going, not just where we are or where we have
been.
We continue to seek speakers who are leaders in their
fields, who can help us look at current affairs with
perhaps a totally different perspective, even when we
may not fully agree with them.”
